I. Eligibility Requirements

  1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens;

  2. Be in good physical and mental health, aged between 18 and 25;

  3. Hold a high school diploma (Applicants who have not yet graduated must submit a pre-graduation certificate and obtain the diploma before enrollment);

  4. Meet the corresponding language proficiency requirements;

  5. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, applicants are required to take the “CSCA (China Studies for College Admission)” examination before submitting their applications. The CSCA test result is a mandatory material for DUT admission review;

  6. Meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education’s Document [2020] No.12 and relevant DUT regulations.

¡ù Applicants under 18 years old who have graduated from high school and have a legal guardian residing in Dalian, China, are also eligible to apply.


II. List of Available Majors

Please refer to Attachment 1 for the detailed list of undergraduate programs.


III. Registration Time

The registration for 2026 admission will take place in early September, subject to the requirements stated in the Admission Notice.

V. Application Period

Applications open on November 1, 2025.
Applicants are advised to complete the process before the end of June 2026.


VI. Required Application Documents

  1. Application Form for International Students of DUT
    Complete online through the DUT International Education College system.

  2. Notarized High School Diploma
    If still in school, provide a study certificate issued by the current school. Non-Chinese/English documents must include a notarized Chinese or English translation.

  3. Academic Transcript
    Full transcripts for all courses taken in high school up to the latest semester, issued and sealed by the Academic Affairs Office. Transcripts must be in Chinese or English, or accompanied by a notarized translation.

  4. Language Proficiency Certificate
    For Chinese-taught programs, valid HSK scores (within 2 years) are required:

    • Science, Engineering & Management majors: HSK Level 4, ≥180

    • Humanities & Social Sciences majors: HSK Level 5, ≥180

  5. CSCA (China Studies for College Admission) Test Results
    According to CSC [2025] Document No.47, applicants to DUT’s Chinese Language undergraduate program who meet the following conditions may be exempt from the CSCA Chinese subject:

    • Chinese Language (Business Track): HSK 4 ≥180

    • Chinese Language (International Chinese Education Track): HSK 4 ≥210 and HSKK Intermediate ≥60

  6. Personal Statement / Study Plan
    Written in Chinese or English, at least 600 words (see Attachment 2).

  7. Recommendation Letter
    One letter from the principal or a teacher at the applicant’s high school (signed and includes email & phone number). Template available in Attachment 3.

  8. Foreigner Physical Examination Form
    Must follow the required medical check items. Forms missing items, photos, or official seals/signatures are invalid. Validity: 6 months (see Attachment 4).

  9. Blood Test Report
    Must include HIV, V.D.R.L, HBsAg, and HCV test results.

  10. Copy of Passport
    Include the personal information page and blank visa pages. The passport must be valid beyond September 2026.

  11. Non-Criminal Record Certificate
    Valid for 6 months.
    If unavailable during application, submit the “Non-Criminal Record Commitment Letter” (Attachment 5) instead.

  12. Other Supporting Documents

  • Financial proof: Bank statement with at least RMB 50,000 (or equivalent foreign currency) under the applicant’s name (for self-funded students).

  • For applicants already studying in China: copies of current visa pages.

  • One photo (3cm × 4cm).

  • Art & Design applicants: two recent artworks.

  • Applicants under 18 as of September 1, 2026 must provide notarized guardian documents.

Notes:
a. Incomplete or non-compliant materials will not be accepted.
b. Items 2–11 must be uploaded to DUT’s online application system.
c. All documents must be in Chinese or English; other languages must have notarized translations.
d. The university may request additional documents during the review process if necessary.


VII. Application Procedure

  1. Take the CSCA (China Studies for College Admission) Test.

  2. Apply online through the DUT International Education College application portal (E-Square will assist in account setup).

  3. DUT will review all submitted materials.
    Successful applicants will receive an Admission Notice and an electronic “JW202” Visa Application Form.


Important Reminders

  1. All applicants for undergraduate study in China must take the CSCA Test organized by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
    Visit the official website for test information: www.csca.cn

  2. To ensure a smooth process, it is recommended to take the CSCA test as early as possible and submit the results promptly to allow sufficient time for admission review.
    Please refer to Attachment 6 for the list of CSCA test subjects required by DUT in 2026.

  3. Applicants who apply to DUT before January 1, 2026, may first submit the online application and supplement the CSCA score later after completing the test.
