The formal launch of the Tesla Supercharging station at Freeport A'Famosa Outlet has been announced by Tesla Malaysia. According to the business, the new Melaka charging station "enables seamless and fast charging cross-country road trips for Tesla owners in both Malaysia and Singapore." Yes, this is the only place to charge Teslas.
Supercharging stations that have previously opened are located in Sunway Pyramid, Iskandar Puteri (Johor), Pavilion KL, and Tesla's Cyberjaya headquarters. There are Destination Chargers at the brand-new Pavilion Damansara Heights mall.
At Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, there is a new Tesla V3 Supercharging station with four Superchargers and one Destination Charger. There are currently 20 Superchargers in Malaysia, with this being the fourth station in the network.
With V3 Supercharging, which has a peak efficiency of 250 kW, a Model 3 can achieve up to 282 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging, according to Tesla.
Speaking of charging Teslas, it was recently discovered that the warranty on the Tesla Wall Connector home charger is voided if it is used to charge any other EVs. Customers who placed Tesla orders before October 31 may receive a free Tesla Wall Connector, valued at RM2,880, but they would still be responsible for paying the RM2,200 installation fee.
