We've had the chance to see the upgraded Mercedes-AMG CLA45S 4Matic+ in close and provide a live image gallery of the four-door coupé since the updated model first hit the Malaysian market.

The updated CLA45S continues to be powered by the M139 turbocharged inline-four cylinder petrol engine, which produces 421 PS at 6,750 rpm and 500 Nm of torque from 5,000 rpm to 5,250 rpm. Prices for the regular version start at RM527,888 and the Street Style Edition at RM557,888 (on-the-road without insurance for both prices).

The 8-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift 8G automatic transmission and the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system drive all four wheels. The CLA45S can reach a top speed of 270 km/h with the help of this powertrain, which accelerates the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.




Hyper Blue  and Spectral Blue are two new colors that have been added to the facelift color scheme. The cost-effective color choices are Manufaktur Patagonia Red metallic and Manufaktur Mountain Grey magno; the latter is seen on the Street style Edition, which is also shown in this gallery.


The CLA45S comes equipped with 19-inch AMG five-twin-spoke, aerodynamic light-alloy wheels with a high-gloss rim flange as standard, while the 19-inch AMG cross-spoke forged alloy wheel set is an option. The front splitter, external mirror housing, belt and window line trim strip, and the black chrome-plated exhaust outlets all get a high-gloss black finish thanks to the included AMG Night Package.




The Manufaktur Mountain Grey magno paint treatment, side decals with the AMG insignia and AMG chequered-flag pattern, and fluorescent orange highlights set apart the Street Style Edition from the'regular' CLA45S. Along with the MG Night Package I and II, AMG Aerodynamics package, and AMG fuel filler cap, further accessories include the 19-inch AMG forged alloy wheel set in black with a machine-finished flange.

The interior of the Street Style Edition model features Nappa leather, Microcut microfibre upholstery, and AMG Performance front seats. Labels spelling out "CLA45S" are also bright orange.





The door sill trim has orange contrast stitching, AMG lettering, a black replaceable cover, interior ambient lighting in red, and interior trim with the same chequered patterns as the outside decals. These features further identify the Street Style Edition.




The Driving Assistance Package suite, which is new to the CLA45S facelift, adds Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, and Active Parking Assist with 360-degree camera. Additionally, there is Guard 360 Vehicle Protection Plus.
