Based on the report in "Sunshine Daily," a self-media creator named Azhazul Azri posted on Facebook, stating that his brother, who is a car salesman, delivered a new car (Proton X50) to a customer at 5 PM yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, an hour later, the new car was affected by flooding in Puchong.
He mentioned that fortunately, at the time of purchase, his brother consistently advised the customer (a friend of his brother) to buy natural disaster insurance. Azhazul Azri emphasized that the salesman's recommendation to add natural disaster coverage wasn’t solely to make more money, as the profit margin would only be a few Malaysian Ringgit.
"Let's be fair, if the customer's car was insured, even if it got flooded, there would be compensation." He stressed that flooding is an uncontrollable accident. Who could have known that after driving to the mall, having a meal, and leaving after some prayers, they would return to find the car submerged in water? He mentioned that the more sophisticated the car, the higher the repair costs for water damage, possibly exceeding RM 10,000.
