Four university freshmen—Mavis, Siu Tung, Yew Kit, and Nicholas—met during their first group assignment. Facing a series of challenges, they forged a bond of friendship. However, the toughest challenges in their university life were not the assignments.

On the day of the opening ceremony, it was the one-year anniversary of Mavis's sister's passing. As the representative of the freshmen, Mavis suppressed her grief to deliver a speech. During the memorial, she unexpectedly discovered her sister had a live-streaming account. Disguising herself as her sister, Mavis entered the live stream, hoping to uncover the truth behind her sister's death. In the live stream, she encountered ambiguous messages, forbidden desires, and the dazzling traps of sugar daddies, pulling her into a world she had never ventured into. Aside from facing intense emotional turmoil, she even found herself in dangerous situations as she sought revenge.

Siu Tung, who returned to campus to pursue her dream of acting, also faced life’s challenges. After the semester began, she poured all her effort into securing a role in a play, but just when it seemed within reach, she became embroiled in a scandal involving leaked intimate videos. The collapse of trust in her relationships, overwhelming public scrutiny, and the insidious nature of online bullying shattered Xiaotong's strong spirit. Confronted with this significant life hurdle, she fought back with her life, seeking rebirth through the brilliance of the stage. 



  

During the video scandal, Yew Kit stood by Siu Tung’s side without hesitation. Growing up with a silver spoon, Yew Kit came to understand that money cannot solve all of life's problems. Soon, however, his once smooth-sailing life took a turn. A major family upheaval revealed that he had been living in a utopia created by his parents, leaving him unsure of how to face the grey areas of adulthood. To escape reality, he turned to boxing, numbing himself as he repeatedly faced defeats in the ring, desperately searching for ways to regain his footing.

Nicholas, on the other hand, began his struggle against his father as he stepped onto campus. His father, who pursued a stable life, could not understand Nicholas's passion for photography. As a result, Nicholas worked while studying, relying on his own efforts to pursue his dreams. In a crucial assignment, he mustered the courage to take a step toward reconciling with his father, only to face severe backlash. Besides the tension with his father, the challenge of romance—a compulsory course in university—also troubled him. Lacking any romantic experience, he secretly harbored feelings for Mavis but found himself clumsy and flustered around her, consistently missing the perfect opportunities.

Each of the four faced their own "life assignments" in university, and this was the youth's way of saying, "Hi!" The Four-Man Gang supported each other through various crises, ensuring they never felt alone in the dark. Though the trials of youth were painful, with steadfast friendship and the blessing of sweet love, they still forged their own path in this journey of adolescence.
