KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — MTD Properties has officially broken ground on MTD Residensi Sutera Vista, a new residential project that marks the final chapter in the developer’s 160-acre Taman Sutera township in Kajang, Selangor.
The 4.2-acre development will feature two 19-storey residential towers comprising 378 units with built-ups ranging from 900 sq ft to 1,000 sq ft, designed to blend quality, comfort, and affordability within a thriving suburban environment.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Nov 1, was officiated by Selangor State Executive Councillor for Housing and Culture, Datuk Borhan Aman Shah, symbolizing another milestone in the state’s continuous push to expand access to quality and affordable housing.
Some of the homes under Residensi Sutera Vista are allocated for the Rumah Selangorku (RSKU) affordable housing scheme, reaffirming MTD’s commitment to supporting state-led housing policies and inclusive community development.
Commitment to Affordable Quality
MTD Group CEO Reime Rizal Abdul Aziz said the company’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that affordability should not come at the expense of quality or modern living standards.
“Affordability does not mean having to compromise. This belief underpins all our developments, and we are committed to ensuring that every Malaysian has access to a quality home,” he said.
The Sutera Vista project is designed to provide residents with a well-balanced living experience — combining modern facilities, practical layouts, and connectivity to major routes such as the Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK) and Cheras–Kajang Expressway (CKE).
Building a Legacy in Kajang
With over 10 completed residential and commercial developments in the Taman Sutera township, MTD Properties has played a significant role in shaping Kajang’s property landscape. The group’s master plan has transformed the area into a self-sustaining community complete with housing, amenities, and supporting infrastructure.
Beyond Kajang, MTD Properties maintains an active development pipeline across Malaysia — including Bangsar, Taman Tasik Utama, Ayer Keroh, Seremban, Jenjarom, and Sungai Kantan — strengthening its presence across both residential and commercial segments.
A Positive Outlook for Selangor’s Property Market
Industry observers see projects like Residensi Sutera Vista as indicators of continued confidence in Selangor’s housing market, particularly in well-connected townships such as Kajang and its surrounding areas. Improved accessibility and infrastructure are also driving spillover demand for industrial land in Selangor, office space in Bukit Jalil, factories in Puchong, and industrial property in the Subang area, as businesses expand in tandem with residential growth.
As the Taman Sutera master plan reaches completion, MTD Properties’ latest development stands as both a culmination of long-term township planning and a reflection of its enduring vision — building sustainable, affordable, and future-ready communities across Malaysia.
