Conventional MIG & Synergic MIG - Hong Loong Huat Welding & Trading Co
Conventional MIG & Synergic MIG
27-Nov-2025
Conventional MIG welding requires the welder to manually set parameters such as voltage and wire feed speed. This gives experienced welders full control but can be challenging for beginners, as incorrect settings may cause spatter, poor penetration, or unstable arcs.
Synergic MIG, on the other hand, uses pre-programmed settings where the machine automatically adjusts voltage and current based on the selected wire, gas, and material. This creates a more stable arc, reduces setup time, and improves weld consistency. While synergic MIG is generally easier to use, it is usually more expensive and offers less manual fine-tuning compared to traditional MIG.
