Want a Tear-Free Birth & Breastfeeding Success? Start These 2 Things After Week 34!
Many moms-to-be spend the Third Trimester worrying about "When will baby come?" but forget to prepare for "How to birth without tearing" and "How to feed immediately".
Actually, in the final weeks (Week 34-37), doing a little homework can significantly reduce the risk of Episiotomy and prevent breastfeeding struggles!

If you haven't packed your hospital bag or don't know how to track kick counts, please read this survival guide first!

1. Perineal Massage (Reduce Tearing Risk)
Start: From Week 34 onwards
The biggest fear of natural birth is tearing or getting an "Episiotomy" (the cut). The good news is, your skin is elastic.
How to do it?
After a shower, use clean fingers with natural oil (like olive or coconut oil) to gently massage the perineum area (the bottom of the vaginal opening). This increases tissue elasticity, making it easier for the baby's head to pass through. Ask your O&G doctor for the correct technique.
2. Colostrum Harvesting (Liquid Gold)
Start: From Week 36 or 37 (Consult your doctor first! Not for high-risk pregnancies)
Many newborns cry from hunger in the first few days because mom's milk hasn't "kicked in" yet.
Why harvest early?
Your body produces "Colostrum" (nutrient-rich first milk) even before birth. You can learn hand expression to collect these precious drops into small syringes and freeze them to bring to the hospital. If the baby has low blood sugar, this is the perfect medicine!
3. Learn the "Proper Latch"
Don't wait until your nipples are sore and bleeding to learn!
Watch breastfeeding videos or attend antenatal classes now. Remember: "Breastfeeding is about the baby latching onto the AREOLA, not just the nipple." Understanding this now will save you a lot of pain later.
