The FemForward 2025 forum was recently held at M World Hotel in Bandar Utama in conjunction with International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day. This event, organized by Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Malaysia, was supported by HAWA Malaysia, Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia (BIM), and Synergy Connect Holdings Sdn Bhd. Centered on the theme “Accelerate Action in Women Community,” the forum aimed to inspire greater participation of women in professional and leadership roles, particularly in sectors related to logistics, transportation, and sustainability.

Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Chairperson of HAWA Malaysia and the WITI Consultative Committee under MITI, officiated the event and delivered a keynote address highlighting the vital roles women play in shaping the future of the economy, community, and nation. She stressed the importance of recognizing and celebrating the contributions of women across diverse industries.

One of the major components of the forum was the “Driving ESG Excellence” session, where corporate leaders, industry experts, and sustainability advocates came together to explore how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives can be strengthened through inclusive leadership. The forum underlined the value of integrating women into ESG strategies to enhance organizational resilience and sustainable development.



Additionally, Prof. Ts. Muhammad Zaly Shah, President of CILT Malaysia, announced a special initiative by Saito University College offering logistics scholarships specifically for female members of WiLAT Malaysia. This move is designed to promote greater female representation in logistics and transportation leadership, providing more women with the opportunity to advance their education and careers in the field.



The event also honored Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad with the FemForward 2025 Lifetime Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding service and dedication to empowering women in Malaysia. The forum concluded with a strong message about collaboration and community-building, as participants from various backgrounds came together to exchange ideas and commit to future initiatives aimed at uplifting women and accelerating their contributions in all spheres of life.
