The Foundation Program offers a carefully designed, multi-dimensional, and diverse curriculum that covers a wide range
of disciplines, including Economics, Science and Engineering, and Medicine. The program is aimed at helping international
students smoothly transition into undergraduate studies. Students who successfully complete the program and pass the
assessments will be eligible to enter the undergraduate programs at Wuhan University.
(2) Curriculum Overview
● Training Duration: from March to June (specific dates are subject to official admission notice)
● Instruction Language: English (in-person English-taught classes)
● Teaching Schedule
Total: 441 class hours (45 minutes per class hour)
1) Major Courses: 178 hours in total (Mathematics: 60 hours, Physics: 40 hours, Chemistry: 48 hours, Biology: 30 hours)

(3) Eligibility
● must be a non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport
● must be under 24 years of age
● must be in good physical and mental health
(4) Application Process
1. Online Application
Contact E-Square to create an online account.
Select”self-sponsor”- "Pre-university Program" and follow the website instructions to complete personal information and
upload required application materials.
2. Submit Application Materials
● A copy of the personal information page of the passport (valid at least until May of your academic year) and, if applicable,
the China visa page.
● Proof of English language proficiency (or exemption based on the university's assessment).
● Proof of financial capability or economic guarantor (at least USD 2,500).
● If the applicant has previously studied in China, a recent (within 6 months) certificate of no criminal record is required.
● Physical report within 6 months.
Note: The above materials do not need to be mailed. They should be submitted during the online application process through
Wuhan University's registration system.
