KUCHING, Nov 20: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng applauds Leaves Food Industries Sdn Bhd for being the pride of Sarawak.

Wee said as a successful local brand, Leaves Food Industries also donates a portion of the company’s revenue to help the less fortunate or underprivileged children, such as orphans or children from low-income families.

“This is most commendable and underlines the corporate social responsibility of the company,” he said when speaking at the Leaves Food Industries’ 25th Anniversary celebration and new product launching ceremony here today.

Wee noted the newly launched Leaves’ 3-Layer Milk Tea is considered one of Sarawak’s food heritage.

He said the tea drink’s three colours represent the different races in Sarawak living together in harmony and synergy.

“To the people behind Leaves Food Industries, you did an excellent job of upholding the joy and pride of the brand in Sarawak,” he added. — DayakDaily
