Responsibilities | Daily Operations Oversight: Manage the day-to-day commercial operations of the Singda (M) sales team, ensuring seamless workflow and maximum productivity. - Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead a team of 5-6 members, providing support for their performance improvement and individual career development. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. - Talent Management: In collaboration with HR, handle the entire spectrum of talent-related activities for the sales team, including hiring, performance management, and succession planning. Business Growth and Target Achievement - Annual Target Execution: Execute against the annual revenue targets set by senior management. Provide monthly financial updates, highlighting progress against growth targets. - Long-Term Strategic Planning: Create a comprehensive 3-5 year strategic plan for the sales team. Set clear priorities and drive the team to execute on these priorities. - New Business Development: Develop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities. Ensure the long-term, healthy growth of the business in line with the company's mid-term growth plans. Customer and Market Engagement - Customer Relationship Building: Travel individually or with team members to establish and maintain strong customer relationships. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. - Market Analysis and Strategy: Work with the marketing team to provide in-depth analysis and strategic direction for the export market and end-users. Keep a close eye on market trends and competitor activities. Product-Specific and Project-Related Duties - Product Line Sales: Take full global sales responsibility for the assigned product line. Achieve profitable growth that aligns with the company's strategic growth objectives. - Project Management: Lead the global sales team in daily project-related business. Participate in key stages of project negotiation. Manage the sales margin, commercial risk, and, with technical support, the technical risk of each project. Sales Planning and Network Expansion - Sales Planning: Conduct annual sales planning and quarterly forecasting. Ensure accurate and timely planning to support business growth. - Global Sales Network Expansion: Develop and expand the global sales network, aiming for sufficient market penetration. Leverage your industry connections to open new markets and increase brand presence. Product Development Support and Marketing - Product Development Input: Support the technology development of product lines by actively providing feedback on new customer demands and competitor product development information. - Marketing Activities: Carry out marketing activities such as participation in trade shows, conferences, and other industry-related events to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. Ad-Hoc Assignments - Other Tasks: Undertake any other tasks assigned by the superior, demonstrating your flexibility and commitment to the company's success. |

An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. - Work Experience: Have 15+ years of professional work experience, with a deep expertise in sales. A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing a sales team in metallurgical industry is required. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-national company is essential, and expertise with distributors/stockiest is a significant advantage. - Industry Experience: Possess extensive sales experience in the metal/metallurgical engineering industry, with exposure to different international markets. Experience in selling tailored products or customized production line businesses is highly desirable. - Soft Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team towards a common goal. Have effective communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing. - Relationship-Building Abilities: Excel at forging working relationships quickly across the target market network of customers and industry associations. Show cultural agility, adapting to different business cultures and environments. - Travel and Language Skills: Be able to travel more than 50% of the time across Asia. Be fluent in Mandarin, English, and Malay, enabling seamless communication with a diverse range of stakeholders. |
