Calm Abode Located in Tar Villa, Wangsa Maju, this 1,000 sqft condominium embraces minimalism to create a simple yet cozy living space.
Through thoughtful planning and clever design, the interior perfectly blends tranquility with elegance, offering residents a serene and delightful living experience.

Completed within 20 weeks, the project was designed and built by BOLDNDOT, showcasing a seamless balance between functionality and aesthetics, making everyday life more effortless and enjoyable.
 

The homeowners wanted to transform their old house into a simple, and easy-to-maintain home. Their main priorities were to renovate the plumbing, electrical systems, and windows. Additionally, since the house is located near an LRT line, they needed solutions to minimize noise. They aimed for a clean, modern, and bright home.

Tar Villa is an old house that had been rented to students. It’s dark, dirty, and has inadequate lighting. Noise from the nearby LRT is disrupts the residents' living experience.

1. Minimalist Design: To achieve a calm and easy-to-maintain environment, we chose a modern minimalist style. Clean lines and functional furniture were used, and light-colored, easy-to-clean walls were introduced to brighten the space and simplify upkeep.
2. Maximizing Light: Large windows were installed to allow more natural light through the house, creating a brighter, more open space.
3. Soundproofing: To address the LRT noise, we installed double-glazed soundproof windows with reinforced frames, significantly reducing noise inside the house.
4. System Upgrades: We updated the outdated plumbing and electrical systems and added smart lighting, allowing the residents to control the home’s lights via phone for more convenience and energy efficiency.
5. Durable, Easy-to-Maintain Materials: We selected durable, stain-resistant materials for the floors, countertops, and walls. These materials ensure the home remains easy to maintain.
6. Neutral Color Palette: We used neutral tones with subtle pops of color for a modern yet cozy feel. Functional furniture with built-in storage keeps the space uncluttered and tidy.
