The government will expand the scope of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) starting from July 1, 2025, in accordance with the measures outlined in the 2025 Budget. This move aims to strengthen the nation's fiscal position by increasing revenue and broadening the tax base.

The government has expanded the range of taxable goods, while we have also contributed to refining the list of tax-exempt essential items. More importantly, we successfully secured a longer enforcement grace period to support compliance efforts among member businesses.

As announced by the government, companies that take steps to comply with SST registration and reporting requirements by December 31, 2025, will not face prosecution or penalties.
