The EXCOUNT I (1HSA440000 J) is a surge counter integrated with a basic leakage current meter. Designed for use with all makes of gapless surge arresters, it records surge events and measures total leakage current—all displayed on a digital screen 

Surge Counting Features

• Surge detection threshold: ≥ /10 /A (8/20 /μs standard); records every surge in excess of this threshold

• Memory: Stores up to 999,999 impulses, then wraps to zero 

• Display resolution: Updates in under 0.5 /s; features a bi stable LCD for clear visibility, even in direct sunlight 

Leakage Current Measurement

• Range: Measures total leakage current (bleed plus capacitive) from 0.1–50 /mA peak, in the 48–62 /Hz band

• Activation method: Measurement triggered remotely by shining a standard laser pointer at the lens—providing a safe, hands off experience .

• Display duration: Shows averaged leakage current reading, then reverts to impulse count after ~30 /s
