Obaproof Skim Coat 168 Finish is a high quality cement based plaster specially developed to patch up undesirable holes or surface unevenness in wall and ceiling giving them a fine and smooth finish. It is normally used as a finish coat over Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base. As it is whiter, it can be treated as a base coat for painting works.

Mixing:
Add Obaproof Skim Coat 165 Base or Obaproof Skim Coat 168 Finish to the
recommended amount of clean water by weight. Refer to the table for
recommended mixing ratio. An electrical mixer is recommended to stir for
about 5 min to obtain a homogeneous paste.
Application:
Obaproof Skim Coat can be applied to a wide range of substrates such as:
• Plaster surface
• Concrete wall and ceiling
• Hollow block wall
• Lightweight block wall
• Lightweight panel & calcium silicate
brick wall.
Preparation:
The substrate must be clean, free of dust, oil grease, etc. If uneven surface with depth difference more than 5mm, a mortar plaster is recommended to be use.
Storage:
Storage life of Obaproof Skim Coat is 6-9 months if stored in cool and dry
location.
Precautions:
Avoid eye and skin contact as the product is alkaline. In case of eye contact,
flush with plenty of water for at least 15 min. Seek medical help immediately.
