EPF Contributions for Foreign Workers from October 2025

From October 2025 wages onward, employers and non-Malaysian workers (except domestic helpers) must each contribute 2% of monthly pay to the EPF.

The rule applies to all foreign workers with valid passports and work permits. Previously, EPF participation was voluntary.

EPF said the move ensures fair social protection for all workers, regardless of nationality. Employers are encouraged to register via the EPF website or at any branch.
