JCI Sunway Damansara Flagship Project One Ocean One World

JCI Sunway Damansara has initiated a new flagship project called Ocean Project: One Ocean, One World to protect the ocean and the marines’ life.

Ocean Project: One Ocean, One World

The objective of this project is to raise the public’s awareness on the importance of ocean & marine life protection. Apart from that, this project also aims to create awareness on how the lifestyles on land could affect the ocean biosystem.

“Malaysia Blue Ocean Vision”

By the year 2050, JCI Sunway Damansara hopes this project would be able to create healthy and natural ecosystems as well as a toxic-free ocean.

Ocean Project Activities

1. Art Gallery

By establishing an art gallery, it can help to create awareness of the importance of a clean ocean. This can be a platform for the talented kids to present their beautiful art to the public, which also can promote the beauty of Kid’s Art Drawing. Moreover, the public also can grab the opportunity to learn about kids’ entrepreneurship.

2. Beach Cleaning

Another fun activity coming from the project is beach cleaning. JCI Sunway Damansara aims to improve the environment and cleanliness at Pantai Cunang, Tanjung Sepat.

Apart from that, this activity also aims to provide sustainable income and education solutions for the Orang Asli as well as to provide training to the local community to create young active citizens.

3. Ocean Gaming App, Coralium

Not only that, the public also can help to save the corals virtually and physically through the game application called Coralium. Through this game, you can buy, breed and decorate your Coralium with corals and other sea creatures. There is also a journal on the corals where you can unlock the information to learn about them.

• ocean and green festival
• vegan food fair

Achieving Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water

JCI Sunway Damansara’s goals for this project are to realize multiple coral breeding areas by 2027 and improve the residents’ quality of life. Apart from that, they also hope to create an impact on over 1 million people of different age groups from all around the world. Through this project, let’s together achieve Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water.
