Ken Kreisel invented the world's first powered subwoofer (active subwoofer) in 1977. The DXD300 has two versions, the DXD300A with the driver unit facing downward and DXD300B with the driver unit facing upward. The 3D Push-Pull-Pulsar technology would double the bass output, and the height would reduce the standing wave problem and reproduce bass more evenly. 3D Push-Pull Pulsar

Ken Kreisel produces the subwoofers with 3D Push-Pull Pulsar technology, making them stackable. When stacking the DXD300A and DXD300B, the system achieves a push-pull arrangement with one driver facing outward and one inverted driver facing inward. Stacking two subwoofers increases the SPL by 6dB, and stacking four subwoofers increases the SPL by 12dB.

Ken Kreisel recommends using two or more subwoofers in any audio system, and stacking is preferred if possible to obtain bass vertically. The push-pull arrangement increases the overall system output and dynamic range and minimizes the harmonic distortions. Additionally, the workload of each subwoofer is reduced, and a more precise and accurate low frequency is achieved.
