UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) reported selling 9,000 vehicles (Toyota and Lexus combined) in July 2024, bringing the total sales for the year so far to 55,800 units.

This represents an 18.2% increase from the 7,600 units sold in June and a 7.8% rise compared to July 2023. However, sales for the first seven months of 2024 are down by 2.1% compared to the same period last year.



UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has added two new models to its lineup: the RZ 450e, which is their first all-electric car, and the LBX, a self-charging hybrid SUV designed for entry-level buyers. Lexus stated that these new models demonstrate their commitment to expanding their range of hybrid and electric vehicles.

For August 2024, UMW Toyota is offering a “Discover Merdeka Exclusives” promotion. This includes up to RM8,000 off the Corolla Cross Hybrid and monthly payments starting at RM1,058. They are also introducing the Toyota Service Savers program, which allows for flexible maintenance payments starting at just RM31 per month.



UMW Toyota Motor will celebrate Malaysia’s Independence Day with a Merdeka Showroom Weekender on August 17 and 18. Toyota showrooms across the country will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering test drives of popular models and various community activities.
