Chery Corporate Malaysia has signed an agreement with the Belia Mahir Project, a non-governmental organization linked to the National Skilled Workers Organisation. This partnership is focused on creating job opportunities for young Malaysians.
By working together, Chery and the Belia Mahir Project aim to help skilled workers transition smoothly from education to jobs in the automotive industry. This initiative will not only provide good career prospects for graduates but also help them develop and apply their skills to improve practices in Malaysia's automotive sector.
The Belia Mahir Project helps young people who are not working, in school, or in training (NEET) by offering opportunities for higher education and skills training through partnerships with colleges and vocational centers. They also assist in finding jobs for these young people in different industries.
"With Chery's new assembly plant launched in Shah Alam, Selangor, and more planned, we're focused on building a skilled workforce. Our goal is to maintain high standards in vehicles and services for our customers," said Mr. Leo Chen, Executive Vice President of Chery Corporate Malaysia.
After completing their training and education programs, graduates recommended by the Belia Mahir Project can join Chery Corporate Malaysia's offices and assembly plants across the country.

The partnership allows chosen candidates to work for China’s biggest vehicle exporter, gaining valuable experience in the automotive industry. Qualified individuals will receive a competitive minimum monthly salary of RM2000, along with comprehensive staff benefits.
"By empowering local talent and encouraging teamwork, we're not just supporting Malaysia's goals in industry and energy transition but also helping the automotive sector grow," said Mr. Leo Chen, Executive Vice President of Chery Corporate Malaysia.
The collaboration between Belia Mahir Project and Chery Corporate Malaysia is a big step in connecting education to job opportunities for Malaysian youth, ensuring they are ready to succeed in the automotive sector.
