At last, the wait is over! The much-awaited 2024 Jaecoo J7 premium off-road SUV has been officially launched, complete with its price tag.

Most of you probably know that the Jaecoo J7 SUV will be available in Malaysia in two versions: the Jaecoo J7 2WD priced at RM138,800 and the Jaecoo J7 AWD priced at RM148,800



The names themselves highlight the main difference between the two variants, while the remaining specifications are the same. Under the hood, both versions of the J7 SUV feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 194 horsepower and 290 Newton-meters of torque.

Paired with a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in eight seconds. As the names suggest, the distinction between the 2WD and AWD variants lies in how many wheels receive power for propulsion—4WD being the more rugged option, ideal for light off-road adventures.

Competing against models such as the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5, the Jaecoo J7 is geared towards handling more challenging driving conditions, boasting a 200mm ground clearance and the capability to navigate through water up to 600mm deep.

In the Jaecoo J7 AWD, there's an extra feature called ARDIS (All Road Drive Intelligent System). While the 2WD version has three driving modes (Eco, Sport, and Normal), the AWD version adds four more: Snow, Sand, Mud, and Off-road.



Upon entering, you'll find a contemporary interior design in the Jaecoo J7, featuring five plush seats with leather upholstery. It includes a 10.25-inch digital driver display complemented by the W-HUD all-terrain head-up display, along with a 14.8-inch vertical central infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among other features.

The Jaecoo J7 also includes features like customizable ambient lighting with 64 colors, a panoramic sunroof, a high-quality 14-speaker Sony sound system, dual-zone climate control, and 412 liters of trunk space, among others.
