Perodua D66B will be officially unveiled in our country in the upcoming month of April?

According to analysis by Kenanga Research analyst Wan Mustaqim Wan Ab Aziz in a research report, the all-new SUV model with the code name Perodua D66B is expected to be officially launched in the upcoming month of April. This coincides with earlier rumors suggesting that the new car would be released in the first half of this year. Furthermore, the fact that the factory halted production of the Aruz as early as November last year to make way for this new car adds credibility to the belief that the new car's release in April is highly likely.

Additionally, the D66B will come equipped with a plethora of convenient features such as electronic parking brake, reverse camera, 360-degree camera, and more. Android Auto/Apple CarPlay will also be available on this model, although it is not yet clear whether they will be standard across all trim levels or exclusive to the top-tier version.

As for the engine, although there is currently no specific information available, it is believed that it will likely continue to utilize the 1.5L Dual VVT-i naturally aspirated engine paired with a D-CVT gearbox (similar to the Indonesian version). The hybrid option may be exclusive to the Toyota version. In terms of safety features, the D66B will be equipped similarly to other Perodua models, with a complete set of safety equipment including six airbags across the entire lineup. Additionally, it will feature Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go functionality, lane-keeping assist system, automatic high beam adjustment, and automatic emergency braking.

Finally, there have been reports indicating that the manufacturer has been making preparations for the launch of this model, including salesperson training. Therefore, it is expected that the new car will be introduced soon, with a starting price possibly from RM 73,000.
