Proton MV11 is currently in development, with plans for the successor to the Exora model to commence research and development in 2020
17-Jan-2024
We recently received information that as early as 2020, the original manufacturer had initiated the development plan for the Exora Replacement. The new vehicle is codenamed MV11, distinct from the previously rumored Geely Jiaji (VF11). However, as it is intended to replace the Exora, we can anticipate that the dimensions of this car will fall between the B-Segment and C-Segment. Consequently, there is not expected to be any market or pricing conflict between MV11 and X90.
Regarding the engine, there may not be any major surprises, as it is likely to continue using the 1.5L turbocharged engine currently produced by Proton (MPI Turbo and TGDI). The engine outputs are expected to be 148 Hp/226 Nm and 174 Hp/255 Nm, paired with a dual-clutch transmission. This car is anticipated to make its debut in 2025. In 2024, Proton's main focus is on launching upgraded versions of existing models, such as the X70 MC2 and X50 MC.
