One and a half years after it was first spotted on local roads, the fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson has been spotted on Malaysian roads once more.
The fourth-generation Tucson, shown above shot at a gas station by paultan.org reader Jackson Lim, is believed to be the long-wheelbase model that was introduced for the US market, where it was available with three different powertrain choices from the start.

When you enlarge the second picture, you can almost see the '1.6T' badge on the tailgate. This implies that Malaysia will receive at least one turbocharged version of the new Tucson, with a 177 horsepower and 264 Nm turbocharged combustion engine connected to a six-speed automated transmission.
The Tucson LWB, if it is imported into Malaysia, is a C-segment SUV with dimensions of 4,630 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width, and 2,756 mm in wheelbase.

The lineup includes a 2.5-liter Smartstream engine with 187 horsepower and 241 Nm of torque, which is sent to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Other vehicles in the lineup include a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
In international markets, the Tucson is equipped with the SmartSense active safety suite, which includes highway driving assist (HDA), lane keeping assist (LKA), lane following assist (LFA), blind-spot view monitor, high beam assist, and a surround view monitor. Additionally, the FCA with pedestrian detection is included.

Regarding infotainment, the top feature is a 10.25-inch touch screen navigation system with split-screen functionality and improved speech recognition; standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These are also reasonable expectations for Malaysia, though we won't know all the specifics until it formally arrives.
