The icon on the website's supercharger network map for Tesla Malaysia is now lit up in red, indicating that the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur superchargers are now operational. Furthermore, there are also idle fees that total RM4/min published with the rates, which are indicated at RM1.25/kWh. It is the only supercharger station in Malaysia that has been activated as of right now.
The Pavilion Tesla Supercharger has 8 charging stations, each capable of providing up to 250 kW of power. Previously, when the Tesla Model Y was first introduced, the superchargers were present but not yet in use.
12 locations for the Tesla supercharger network were revealed to the public when the company first launched in Malaysia. It consists of:
Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Dengkil, Selangor
Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur (Now Online)
Kuala Lumpur (1st additional location)
Kuala Lumpur (2nd additional location)
Kuala Lumpur (3rd additional location) NEW
Kuala Lumpur (4th additional location) NEW
Iskandar Puteri, Johor
Ipoh, Perak
Negeri Sembilan
Perai, Pulau Pinang
Only the Tesla app may be used to activate the Tesla superchargers. While non-Tesla electric cars (EVs) will be able to use select Tesla chargers, the superchargers in Pavilion Bukit Bintang are only available to Tesla EVs. It's true that you will need to install the Tesla app as part of your EV ownership experience.
In Malaysia, 350 kW is the fastest public DC charging rate at the moment. There are two of these in the Gentari charging station at Xpark Sunway Serene. The Pavilion KL Tesla supercharging station is the first of several. Tesla Malaysia has outlined plans for its supercharging network, which will mostly span the west coast with a concentration in Klang Valley. It will take some time before non-Tesla EV owners may use the public Tesla superchargers.
