The highly anticipated Jetour T2, under Chery Holding, is set to make its first right-hand drive (RHD) appearance at the upcoming paultan.org Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2025, happening from November 8 to 9 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC).
Following its earlier preview at the Malaysia Autoshow in May, this marks the rugged SUV’s return to Malaysian shores — this time with more exciting news. Jetour has confirmed that early bookings will open during the event, where the estimated pricing of the T2 will also be revealed.
The Jetour T2 sports a boxy, adventure-ready design reminiscent of the Ford Bronco, complete with square headlights, an upright stance, and a rear storage box styled like a spare tyre. Despite its tough looks, the SUV is built on a unibody platform, offering a balance between off-road character and on-road comfort.
Under the hood, the most likely powertrain for the Malaysian market is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), delivering 254 PS and 390 Nm of torque. Other engine options include:
- 1.5L turbo (7-speed DCT)
- 2.0L turbo (8-speed auto)
- 1.5L turbo plug-in hybrid (DHT + 2 electric motors)
Inside, the T2 features a modern and tech-forward cabin with a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 15.6-inch touchscreen.
The SUV is expected to be locally assembled (CKD) at the Berjaya Assembly plant in Johor, highlighting Jetour’s growing presence in Malaysia’s automotive scene.
Visitors can experience the Jetour T2 up close at ACE 2025, open from 9 AM to 7 PM, with free admission for all.
