What is bloating and gastric pain all about?

Abdominal bloating and gas are common indigestion issues. Bloating may persist hours after meal with a protruding tummy. This condition can be caused by excessive gas production when food stuffed in stomach. Bloating can cause temporary discomfort feeling, burping and gastric problem in long run.

But why bloating keeps happening?

The main factors would be closely related to our food and diet habit, such as:
  • Overeating
  • Eating too fast
  • Oily food
  • Dairy products
  • Legumes
  • Sweetener (eg:fructose)
 

There are also other medical conditions that can caused bloating such as: 
  • Chronic intestinal disease
  • Bacterial overgrowth in small intestine; bad bacteria will release lots of acid and gas and causing discomfort
  • Food intolerances whereby our digestive system cannot breakdown certain food such as dairies and gluten
  • Constipation
However, the root of all the challenges above are lack of digestive enzymes in the body and causing food cannot be digest. Digestive enzymes are needed to expedite the process of breaking down food into small and absorbable components. Lack of digestive enzymes, food will stay longer in the stomach. this will trigger more stomach acid and thus causing bloatiness.
