ACCCIM: The cooperation between Malaysia and Jiangsu has unlimited potential and broad prospects

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 – The Malaysian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCCIM) believed that there are huge potential and prospects in trade and investment to be explored by entrepreneurs from Malaysia and the Jiangsu province of China.

“I call on (investors from) both Malaysia and Jiangsu Province to communicate more and explore the huge potential for cooperation, so that both sides can open a new chapter of friendship in new areas on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China,” its president Senator Tan Sri Low Kian Chuan said at the opening ceremony of the three-day China Jiangsu Service Trade Expo 2024 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on Friday. 

The opening ceremony was officiated by Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Liew Chin Tong.

Low said that globalization is an irresistible trend. Malaysia and Jiangsu have great cooperation potential in the areas of digital economy, vocational education, and traditional Chinese medicine. 

Among the guests attending the opening ceremony are Sun Jianwei, President of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia, Loo Kok Seong, President of the Malaysian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Dato’ Dato’ Keith Li , President of China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM), Chu Kun, Secretary General of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Cultural Industries, Dato’ Low Moi Ing, Director of the Malaysia-China Business Council, and Norshalin Hamilton, Vice President of the Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce.
