MOSCOW, July 22 – Republican nominee and former US President Donald Trump said that his party should be compensated for an alleged “fraud” by President Joe Biden’s entourage after his decision to quit the presidential race, reported Sputnik.
On Sunday, Biden said that he would withdraw from the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s nominee for US president.
“Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for ‘fraud’ in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the fake news media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President?” Trump wrote on his social media network on Sunday.
The former president added that the Republican Party was forced to spend money and time fighting Biden and as he had withdrawn, the campaign had to be restarted.
The US presidential election is slated for November 5.
