China entrepreneurs association expects more than 10 MoUs to be inked at CSITE 2024

13-Apr-2024

KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 – Over 10 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) are anticipated to be signed in various fields including smart industry, culture, and education at the fourth China Smart Industry Trade and Culture Exhibition (CSITE) 2024.

The event, hosted by the China Entrepreneurs Association In Malaysia (PUCM), is scheduled to take place from May 20 to 21, 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

More than 100 companies from Malaysia, China and Singapore are participating, said PUCM president Datuk Keith Li.

“The strong interest and the number of MoUs expected to be inked show the strong interest in CSITE and exemplary cooperation between Malaysia and China enterprises.

“We are also expecting more than 15,000 visitors for CSITE 2024,” he said on Friday.

CSITE 2024 is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Embassy of China in Malaysia.

The event is also held concurrently with the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.

“I am confident and positive about this bilateral corporation, especially during the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic ties, with government bodies and organisations undertaking events to celebrate and enhance bilateral corporations in terms of economy, trade and investment,” Li said.

China has remained Malaysia’s largest trading partner for the past 15 years, representing 17.1 per cent of Malaysia’s total trade.

As of February 2024, total trade volume between the two nations reached US.52 billion (US =RM4.76).
