KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- The battle for 245 state seats in six states takes off today starting with prospective candidates submitting their nomination papers at the 173 centres from 9 am.

Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan are set to see a hive of activities this morning as candidates and their supporters make their way to the nomination centres.

The nomination for the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat is also being held simultaneously. The seat was declared vacant after the Terengganu elections court nullified PAS candidate Datuk Ahmad Amzad Hashim’s victory in the 15th General Election.
