Steel processor and fabricator Accurate Metal Products has installed two AI-powered Teqram EasyGrinder robotic systems at its facilities in Rockford, Ill., and Milwaukee.

The systems automate the cleaning and finishing of flame- and plasma-cut parts. Using AI and 3D vision and requiring no programming, they identify parts and pick them up with magnetic grippers. Processing parts autonomously using the best-suited tools from their automatic tool changers, the robotic systems can clean both sides of a part by flipping it with the integrated EasyFlipper.

The systems can remove slag and lead-ins, grind and round edges, and clean interior diameters.
