Xepa Tussidex Forte Linctus Syrup - 120ml

• Active ingredient: Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15 /mg per 5 /ml (non sedating antitussive for dry cough)
• Formulation details: Sugar free, alcohol free syrup with sarsaparilla flavor, suitable for adults and children (120 /ml bottle)

• Designed for relief of dry, non productive coughs, especially those caused by minor throat irritation, colds or inhaled irritants such as smoke.
• Not suitable for coughs with phlegm, as antitussives suppress productive coughing and may lead to mucus accumulation

Dosage

• Adults and children ≥ /12 /years: 15–30 /mg (i.e. 5–10 /ml) 3 to 4 times daily, maximum ~120 /mg/day.
• Children aged 6–12 years: 5–15 /mg (approx. 1.5–5 /ml) up to four times daily.
• Children aged 2–6 years: 2.5–5 /mg up to four times daily—use only with medical guidance.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years.

Administration

• Shake well before use.
• Measure dose accurately using the measuring spoon or syringe provided.
• Swallow without dilution, can be taken with or without food.

If You Miss a Dose

• Take as soon as remembered; if it's near the time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double doses.

Duration & Follow Up

• Use short term. If symptoms persist beyond 7 days, worsen, or are accompanied by fever, rash or headache, stop and consult a physician.

Precautions & Warnings

• Side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, GI upset, restlessness, or—in rare cases—respiratory depression or serotonin syndrome.
• Avoid alcohol—it may enhance side effects.
• Use caution with other medications (e.g. MAOIs, SSRIs, quinidine, amiodarone) due to risk of interaction or serotonin syndrome.
• Not recommended in conditions like emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, or in pregnancy/breastfeeding without medical advice
