3 April 2024, Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Wood Moulding & Joinery Council (MWMJC) organised a focus group for our members in the flooring and decking industry at Menara PGRM today to discuss significant issues and challenges that industry players are facing.

Topics discussed included:
1) The current status of the sector
2) Challenges and issues faced by the sector
3) Possible solutions to the challenges and issues 
4) Government agency’s support to the flooring and decking industry
5) What can AI, automation and mechanisation offer to the industry
6) Important consideration of ESG
7) Promote image and branding in international markets, and
6) Recommendations and proposals.

With participants enthusiastically contributing their opinions and sharing their experiences, the focus group generated much lively discussion and brought forth invaluable insights and action points for MWMJC to move the agenda forward. The focus group came to a close with a hearty networking lunch.
