KAWAIARO began with a simple passion in the year 2000.

What started as a small aquarium shop in Bayan Lepas, Penang, founded by Mr. Oh Kok Peng, gradually evolved into something much greater. Driven by his fascination for the Asian Arowana and commitment to quality, a lifelong journey began.

In 2010, that passion led to the establishment of Kawai Arowana Farm in Bukit Merah, Perak — one of the most iconic origins of the Malaysia Golden Arowana.

Over the years, the farm has grown from a family dream into a brand trusted by hobbyists, collectors, and partners across multiple countries.

Today, the second generation, Mr. Oh Kai Liang, continues the journey by bringing new ideas, modern branding, and digital innovation into the business while preserving the values that built its foundation.

The introduction of the KAWAIARO brand reflects this vision — a name created to represent a new generation while honouring a legacy built over decades.
