The Winter Solstice is an important traditional festival in China. As the saying goes, "Winter Solstice is as significant as the New Year, bringing people together in small reunions on Earth." Every Winter Solstice, celebrations take place across the country. In the south, people eat tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls), while in the north, they enjoy jiaozi (dumplings).
