Corrugated boxes are manufactured to be used as containers for shipping purpose. Boxes are used to pack products from manufacturing lines through distribution to sales or end-use purpose. Boxes also provides product protection and often require inner components such as cushioning and layer pads to protect fragile contents.

Corrugated box can also provide crush resistance and stacking purpose in warehouse. A box can be manufactured by optimizing the grade of corrugated board, box design, flute direction, and inner supports. If long-term storage of corrugated boxes in high humidity is expected, extra strength and moisture resistance will be needed.
