What is folate?
Folate is essential nutrient found mainly in green leafy vegetables. On the other hand, folic acid is synthetic form of folate. Both folate and folic acid are inactive and needs to be converted into active form - ''methylfolate'' before our body could utilise them for metabolic process e.g. methylation cycle, DNA synthesis, homocysteine metabolism, and nerve system function.

* Folate deficiency Folate deficiency is common as many people do not consume enough folate-rich food. Food folate is easily destroyed by food processing and cooking. The amount of folate your body needs depends on your age and sex. Below are the current Recommended Nutrient Intakes (RNIs) established by MOH:
*Men and Women > 18 years - 400 mcg DFE
*Pregnant Women 14 - 50 years - 600 mcg DFE
*While Breastfeeding 14 - 50 years - 500 mcg DFE

What is MTHFR?
MTHFR (Methyltetrahydrofolate Reductase) is enzyme that converts inactive folate to methylfolate. Research suggests that 10- 40% of world population cannot convert active folate efficiently due to genetic polymorphism. People with MTHFR polymorphism are at higher risk of folate deficiency.

What is Myfolite?
Myfolite contains 800mcg Calcium L-Methylfolate. Myfolite's L-Methylfolate is registered in FDA as NDI 920 & self-affirmed as GRAS. Unlike folic acid, L-methylfolate does not require conversion by the MTHFR enzyme. Optimal level of methyl folate supports mood, heart, and nerve health as well as normal fetal development.

DOSSAGE:
Adult:Take 1 capsule once daily after meal.
