CONSTRUCTIVE MEETING BETWEEN ROYAL MALAYSIAN CUSTOMS AND PERSATUAN PEMBORONG BUAH-BUAHAN

We were invited by Persatuan Pemborong Buah-Buahan Kuala Lumpur to a constructive meeting at Customs HQ, together with officers from the Perkastaman Department (KLIA & Port Klang) and the Pernilaian Department, HQ. on 14th Nov 2025. 
 

The session was graciously hosted by Tuan Wong Pun Sian, Pengarah Kastam, JUSA C, Bahagian Perkhidmatan Teknik (HQ). This marks our second round of engagement with the top leadership of Customs in addressing the ongoing challenges related to fresh fruit import valuation and SST implementation.
 

It was truly a fruitful and meaningful discussion. All parties had the opportunity to exchange insights and work towards narrowing the gap between dynamic market realities and valuation practices by assessment officers.
 

We are confident that through continuous collaboration, we can:

* Develop efficient clearance processes for perishable goods

* Maintain affordable prices for Malaysian consumers
