IMM is special designed with Double Telecentric Lens. With this technology, users can enjoy the larger and clear physical shape of view for the object with high accuracy.
Some models are designed with two different sizes of Lens and user can select based on their measurement requirement like wide view or high precision.
Examples:
1) Wide view: 2X (Lens 100mm; FOV: 100 x 100mm)
2) High Precision: 6X (Lens 20mm; FOV 20 x 20mm)

VMM is using 0.7X – 4.5X (Digital: 30X – 225X for 24” Screen Monitor) Zoom Lens so the user can get the large view for specific area of the object which is required high accuracy measurement.

Since the screen setting was digitalized and the image was projected into PC monitor, the user can even enjoy the higher magnification view up to over 100X subject to size of the screen monitor.
However the F.O.V. is only 10 – 0.7 mm subject to change of magnification level. It is suitable for small workpiece but required high accuracy.
In conclusion, IMM can view larger area of the object in one focused image and VMM can view specific area in smaller view but user can even get the cosmetic defect like burrs (See the right bottom image).
