MTC Engineering Sdn Bhd (MTCE) has been awarded with the Marine Import Facilities 2 (MIF2) Package 4, PLEM Fabrication and Subsea Marine Equipment Installation for Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Berhad on the 7^th of November 2019. The project is for PLEM Fabrication, Installation of PLEM & SPM Buoy and Subsea Marine Equipment including Subsea Hose, Umbilical, and Tie-in to the existing 20” and 10” (ex Cabot) in Port Dickson Refinery which is located about 90km from Kuala Lumpur in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The new marine facilities are for Petron’s new clean product, MOGAS.
 
The project completed one of its milestones with arrival of the Single Point Mooring (SPM) Buoy in Malaysian waters on the 15^th of November 2019. The SPM Bouy was transported from China by BBC Austria, a Heavy Lift Vessel and currently is now located at a temporary storage area. The project Kick Off Meeting was held on 18^th November 2019. Installation campaign is scheduled in early Quarter year 2020. As part of MTCE long time commitment in promoting Malaysian capabilities and maximizing local entities involvement in oil and gas industry, the Pipeline End Manifold (PLEM) will be fabricated by a local fabricator in Port Klang. The fabrication is planned to commence in Quarter 4 of year 2019.
