Sales rose very strongly with approx. 50 percent in Asia, but we also documented growth of about 20 percent in the USA and Europe. The company is creating numerous investments for 2019, like at the headquarters in Obersulm.
'The investments in new branches are paying off,' explains Jürgen Hartmann, company founder and owner. 'We now generate more than 50 percent of our sales overseas.' IDS cameras with USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 interfaces are among the bestsellers. The strong surge in constant orders (24%) as well as the big interest in our announced product innovations continue to cause optimism. Peculiarly notable: enhancements around artificial intelligence as an app for commercial cameras and novelties for 3D applications and robot vision.
In order to organize for more growth the Obersulm site is organizing to invest in a system for automatic storage and order picking. There will also be a powerful increase in the number of personnel: Approximately 60 new jobs will be created in 2019. The official ground-breaking ceremony for the new development and tech center will take place in the second quarter. This building will have an area of 4500 square meters and 200 additional office work stations.
