KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 – Dato’ Keith Li, President of the China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM), paid a visit to the Malaysian Parliament on Thursday, where he observed an ongoing parliamentary session and held cordial interactions with several key government leaders, including Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
During the visit, Dato’ Li met with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and held friendly exchanges with a number of cabinet ministers and MPs. They were Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department ( Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Primary Industries Minister Tan Hong Nam, and Ipoh Timur Howard Lee Chuan How.

Speaking in an interview following his visit, Li emphasized the importance of deeper integration between China entrepreneurs and Malaysia’s broader society.
He encouraged members of the Chinese business community to “adapt to local customs” and strengthen ties with the Malay majority, which makes up over 70% of the country’s population.
“By engaging more with the mainstream society, especially the Malay community, we can foster greater mutual understanding and build stronger bridges between Malaysia and China,” he said.
“This will not only help dispel misconceptions but also enhance business cooperation and friendship between our two nations.”
As head of PUCM, Dato’ Li has been a strong advocate for strengthening bilateral economic ties and encouraging Malaysian Chinese businesses to play a more active role in national development. His latest remarks underscore a broader call for inclusivity, mutual respect, and shared prosperity.
The visit also reflects PUCM’s continued commitment to promoting dialogue, unity, and cooperation among Malaysia’s diverse communities and government leadership.
