During the construction of the “Marine Bridge”, the piling activity had caused disturbance to the residence at Straight Quay. A Metal Noise Barrier was proposed.
This Metal Type Perforated Noise Barrier is with a thickness of 75mm. The noise barrier is rated at STC 40 with G.I perforated sheet as front casing and G.I sheet as rear casing. Internally, acoustic infill is used as an absorption.
The panel's barrier is installed, supported by I-beam and concrete-based plate. The total length of this barrier is measured at 24m with a height of 4.5m. Noise has been succesfully control with the proposed barrier.
