This compact photoelectric sensor from RS PRO works at close ranges and is well-suited for use in places where there's limited space.

The sensor can detect objects from 5 mm to 250 mm and has a response time of 625 μs. It's housed in durable ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) thermoplastic and polycarbonate and has an IP67 rating for water resistance.

Dual LEDs indicate whether the sensor is on or off, while a visible light spot helps you to align objects. It uses a background suppression (BGS) sensing method, which prevents any background object beyond the set distance being detected. It comes with a standard 25.4 mm mounting hole spacing for easy assembly and a bracket.
