How does SB Membrane Sampling Valve work?

The scandi brew sample valve is available with tank, pipe or threaded connections. Before opening, a closure is fitted on the upper hose. Turning the handle horizontally allows sample flow through the bottom outlet. Returning it vertically stops flow, the handle can also be removed for safety or cleaning.

For aseptic sampling, a special membrane sample valve version features a microport. By removing the red cap, a hypodermic needle can be inserted directly through the membrane while the valve remains closed which can deliver controlled membrane sampling without exposing the product. After sampling, flush with alcohol or water and sterilize using steam or alcohol.
