KWSP gave a briefing to our team members on the EPF schemes, concept of savings for retirement , voluntary contribution and a few case studies. It focused on the importance of having sufficient funds when one is retired and how to start planning for one’s retirement. Their mobile unit came with 3 pc, scanner and biometric devices to help our staff with nomination of beneficiaries, and downloading of EPF apps.

EPF encouraged our team members to increase their contribution from the mandatory contribution of 11%. The increase can be from 1% to 9%. Happy to note that most of our staff increased their contribution.
They are are aware of the multiplying interest effect. They just have to have drink less Chagee or Starbucks.
