On November 3–4, 2025, Wistron MedTech joined healthcare leaders at the World Stroke Day 2025 Convention, themed “Beyond the Hospital Walls: A Public Health & Clinical Synergy in Stroke Management.” Jointly organized by Hospital Kuala Lumpur (KKM), Jabatan Kesihatan WP Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya, and Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital (HRC), the two-day program convened medical experts, academics, and public health practitioners to strengthen Malaysia’s response to stroke.
The convention underscored the importance of integrating clinical excellence with public health strategies to reduce the burden of stroke nationwide. Scientific sessions explored prevention, early intervention, acute treatment, neurological rehabilitation, and continuity of care. Key discussions included non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, prehospital stroke care, acute stroke protocols, neuroplasticity in rehabilitation, and the establishment of stroke-ready hospitals.
The inauguration was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Indera Dr. Nor Azimi binti Yunus, Deputy Director-General of Health (Medicine), alongside leading neurological and rehabilitation experts. Parallel nursing sessions, interactive exhibitions, and hands-on workshops in Transcranial Doppler (TCD) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) enriched participants’ skills in patient care.
Wistron MedTech featured two advanced technologies at the event: the Keeogo lower limb exoskeleton, designed to assist mobility and gait rehabilitation for stroke survivors, and German Bionic, a smart exoskeleton and wearable technology engineered to enhance human performance and safety in industrial settings. While Keeogo supports neurorehabilitation, German Bionic demonstrates how industrial-grade assistive tech can inspire new possibilities in ergonomic support.
This landmark convention fostered collaboration across hospitals, clinics, and communities—ensuring stroke patients benefit from comprehensive care, from prevention to recovery.
