Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) involves locating and identifying underground utilities. Water mains, sewer lines, telecommunication cables, gas distribution networks, are just some of the possibilities hidden beneath our feet, and GeoPulse uses various techniques and technologies – ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic induction, trial digging – to accurately map where these are.
The purpose of SUE is to prevent damage to utilities old and new during civil works. An accurate map of the underground will substantially reduce the risk of accidents and service disruptions. SUE should be used to efficiently and safely complete projects such as road construction, building construction, utility upgrades, and urban redevelopment.
